Sebon: Freestyle Tracks Pt. 1 "It's Not Far From The Edge"

So, your all wondering if I'm ever going to come out with anything soon? Well, here you go.

So what is a Freestyle Track?
A Freestyle Track is a track that I write and mix in about an hour. They're freestyle because I make a loop in less than 5 minutes by looping 2 measures on my computer. Then I make the loop without stopping the 2 measures in those 5 minutes. After all of that, I use the last 30-45 minutes to make a song out of it. Also, each track will come with an obscure picture that I have taken from my camera in the past.

This first Freestyle Track is called "It's Not Far From The Edge". This track was completed in 45 minutes from scratch. I had no idea of how this track would turn out to be when I made the 2 measure loop. The only sample I used in this song was Bee Gee's "Stayin' Alive". With out anymore delay, here's my first Freestyle Track!

Track Made: 12/27/09
Track Released: 12/27/09

Studio Updates Part 2

On Sunday the 13th, Terri and I had the opportunity to officially start the recording process for our new album coming out next year. Or that’s what we hope.

We started recording vocals and a little bit of guitar for the song “Now I See.” This song is about a girl that was in love with a boy, but it was a mistake (of course lol). She regretted loving that boy and realized it was a waste of time. Then out of nowhere, she found someone better that will stay with her till the end. The lyrics are more meaningful than a lot of those stupid pop songs that you hear on the radio, because these songs come from the heart and we write what we want to.

Anyways, it was a really fun recording session. It went better than I expected. Usually, my computer slows down when vocals are recording. I don’t know why, but it does. I did find a way to have it not happen. So, all the vocals were recorded perfectly. That got me excited. We did about 30-40 takes for singing alone. We did these many takes to make sure we had it perfect. They were absolutely amazing. We just did a lot to make sure we had each pitch perfect, which they were.

For guitar, I used my Austin acoustic guitar to record the guitar parts in the intro in the song to get a feel of what I should do in the future. This week I’ll work on the guitar parts more and mix the vocals. Hopefully in a couple weeks we’ll have our first song completely done!

Studio Updates Part 1

So, Terri and I we're in my home studio last night looking though some tracks last night. We were trying to look for a song to work on that matches with lyrics that she's been writing and we decided on one. You remember the song that was posted on here called "Preview 2"? Lol. Well that song is way longer than 10 seconds. In the next couple of weeks, that track will be produced on a lot and it might be done by the end of this month and I might have another preview with vocals.

A List Of What I'm Doing

I kinda realized that I've been doing many projects and stuff like that. I'm making this list so you guys (and I :P) know what I've been working on in the last few months. Enjoy.

Sebon:
· Recording the new LP for next year.
· Putting together a remix album for my "Greater Nightmare - EP".
· Getting a site together.
· Finding a record label for this project to be signed on.

Electromatic:
· Putting tracks together for my last LP as that name and be done with that name forever!

1 Day:
· Finding days to make an EP all day. Lol.

Other Projects:
Collecting tracks for:
· "Just Another Christmas Cheer - EP" (Get Some! Records)
· "Let There Be House Vol. 2" (Get Some! Records)
· "House365" (http://www.thedaftclub.com/)
· "Robot After All Vol. 3 (Encore Edition)" (Get Some! Records)

Other Stuff:
· Organizing all my releases to put on this blog.

And that's about it right now. Comment on what you think. Hopefully I'll get some this time.

The Daft Club Records has a new name

Happy October everybody!

Anyway, this blog post is about The Daft Club Records. “What? I thought it died months ago.” You’re wrong! It’s going to be bigger. I want this label to be more serious, so I want to have its own website (that won’t be Geocities). Since, it’s going to be more of a serious net.label, I want to change the name. The reason behind it is that it’s not an original name and I want it to be a label that will be more spread out than the artists on http://www.thedaftclub.com/.

The name did have some thought, but with the help of people back at home, we all decided to rename it to “Get Some! Records”. I think the name is really clever and WAY more original. I will post the new logo really soon. But first, give me some input. What do you guys think about it? Criticism is welcome too, but don’t have it be harsh.

Last Electromatic album needs a title!

So, I'm working on my last album as Electromatic before I'm offically Sebon for life. The problem is is that the name right now is "Electromatic Is Dead". To be honest, I hate it. It's so lame, corny, and just dumb. I want you guys to come up with names that I know that will totally beat my name to the max!

To tell me what name you want me to use, comment on this blog post. In a few weeks. I'll decide what the official name will be from what you guys suggested.

I'm back in the studio!

It's true. I'm back in the studio at my house in my crappy basement. lol.

Anyway, I have 2 new tracks that are in the process of being written and recorded and the names will not be posted yet. I'm keeping most of this next album as a surprise.

Also, Sebon is now offically 2 people. I now have a vocalist who's going to sing in all my songs. Her name will also be kept secret, for now... ;)

On this blog, I'm putting together posts that will have all my Electromatic CDs so that you can find them in one place, which will be here.

In other news. I'm starting a project that will take all of next year called House365. Click like below for details.

I'm Back From A 2 Week Trip In Jamaica & Has Lots Of News

Ok. So, while I was in Jamaica for 2 weeks, I had some time to get some inspiration and I did. Actually, I got a lot of inspiration.

Sebon: I'm going to start to write tracks for my first Sebon LP. It'll be out sometime next year in the summer. (Yea, that's a long time)

Electromatic: (What? I thought you died. Lol) Yes, Electromatic is dead, but I'm going to have all my remixes that I made as Electromatic all on one album, like SebastiAn did. Same thing for my Daft Punk remixes. I'm also going to have one last album to finally put Electromatic to sleep the right way. Lol. It's going to feature a bunch of tracks that were made as Electromatic and that were never on an album. Some songs have never been posted on the net. The album is going to be called "Electromatic Is Dead". It'll be released in the next month or so.

I also had some inspration to create some side projects as well.

1 Day: This is going to a fun project that will be this. I would have a whole entire day to just make tracks and make an EP all in one day. The artwork would be done the day after I made all the tracks in one day. Idk where these will be released and idk when I'm going to start the first one. This will happen though. Lol.

Canned Head: Yes, that's a weird name, but I like it so ha. Lol. This project is going to be all MIDI tracks. I always wanted to make MIDI albums for a long time, but I never had the guts to do it untill now. It might even have some demos for some upcoming Sebon tracks. So be ready for that.

Also I got some inspiration for my net.label and upcoming net.labels.

The Daft Club Records: I'm going to revive this label this month. Sorry to all the artists that wanted to release albums and had to wait all summer. Thanks for your patience. I really thank you for that. In the next week or so I'll be fixing the website and have new pages and some new designs, but the original design will stay in some pages. The releases page will be more organized that it is now. Hopefully it'll be up in September.

MIDI Trax: This is a new label that I'll be starting in September. It's going to release all my MIDI albums that will be for Canned Head. Also, if any other artists want to release MIDI albums on this label after it starts just e-mail me at remixer_rocks@yahoo.com.

This blog will have all my older Electromatic releases and it'll be more organized that it has been before. Also, hopefully I can have a page on this blog for all my releases.

Keep checking here for updates.

New Music Is On The Way

I took a long break after Greater Nightmare was released. I took a few vacations, got a lot rest, and wanted to get back to writing.

I started to work on a remix for Black Eyed Peas' brand new song "Boom Boom Pow". It's really different than what I've done in the past. It still has its electro feel, but it's more metal than rock this time.

I'm starting to get ideas for my first LP. It's going to be an industrial and metal with some electro here and there. It's going to feature a lot of vocalists that I know really well.

More coming to you soon...

Electromatic's dead, but Zach is definitly not done with making music. With his debut release as Sebon he's got a lot to show from transfering from his House phase to his, now, Electro Rock phase. This album has the combination of both.

Sebon's Doodles

I'm going to start an artwork series for fun called "Sebon's Dooles". Since my artwork for my first CD Greater Nightmare - EP (coming out in June) is all doodles, I thought it would be cool to keep making doodles for fun when I'm bored or at school and post them up on this blog. I have the first 2 that I made at school today when I was doing nothing. Enjoy :)
